Statistics Module 3+4: GLMM and Own Data Workshop

Notice: This course is planned to take place in-person. Short-term changes may be possible according to pandemic situation.

Day 1: Binomial model (refreshing LM and LMM; introduction Bayesian data analysis; logistic regression, binomial model)
Day 2: Poisson model and negative binomial model
Day 3 : GLMM (including random effencts; work on own data)
Day 4+5: work on own data and presentations.

Prerequisite for participation

• basic knowledge in statistics, people who have attended Modules 1 and/ or 2 will profit more from the workshop.
• Participants bring their own data. They are requested to send a short description of their projects to the teachers at least one week before the start of the workshop.
• Participants are asked to bring the material of the course modules 2 and 3, particularly the following book: Korner-Nievergelt, F., T. Roth, S. Von Felten, J. Guélat, B. Almasi, and P. Korner-Nievergelt. 2015. Bayesian Data Analysis in Ecolog Using Linear Models with R, BUGS, and Stan. Elsevier, New York. oikostat GmbH, plus additional online material.
